Meet Lourdes Coss, Author Of This Newsletter
Lourdes Coss is a former Chief Procurement Officer and the author of "Procurement Methods: Effective Techniques". She is well respected in the field and a sought-after speaker/coach/trainer. Her leadership experience is complemented by a John Maxwell Team certification. She is a JMT Independent Executive Director and founder of M. L. Coss and Associates, LLC. Lourdes's executive leadership experience spans three decades primarily leading transformations in major public organizations like the City of Chicago, City of Houston, Cook County, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and the Public Building Commission of Chicago. She led teams to achieve higher levels of performance and many operational efficiencies. Lourdes is the recipient of the 2016 Spirit of NIGP Award, NIGP 2018 Integrity Award, and most recently recognized by Thinker360 as one of the "Top 100 Women Thought Leaders to Follow in 2020". Lourdes is retired from public service but continues to add value to the profession as a Vice-Chair of the NIGP Talent Council Leadership Committee and by inspiring colleagues to adopt a value-centered leadership style. Post-pandemic you may see her at a local Cafe working on her next book, her blog, or ideas for her podcast.
